Cigar lighter (power outlet) fuses in the Volkswagen Golf are the fuses #40 (Cigarette lighter, 12V outlets), #46 (230V socket) and #16 (USB ports) in the Instrument panel fuse box.

The fuse box is located behind the storage compartment on the driver’s side of the dashboard (LHD). Open the storage compartment, squeeze from the sides, and pull it towards you to access the fuses.
